Mardi Gras Nails

Whether you know it as Mardi Gras or Carnival, most know this unique celebration as one of the most colorful and vibrant holidays that you can experience during the month of February. Celebrated all over the world, Mardi Gras, or as some call it Fat Tuesday, refers to the last day to enjoy rich fatty foods before Lent, a Christian practice. Although it is a Christian-based holiday, millions of people enjoy Mardi Gras festivities for the full week. To join in on all the fun I came up with a nail art look just as fabulous as the holiday itself, using Lauren B’s Hancock Park, Ivy at the Shore, and Hollywood Blvd. For a little something extra I added some beads, which Mardi Gras is famous for. I hope you enjoy!

Step 2: Apply 2 coats of Hancock Park to three nails and 2 coats of Ivy at the Shore and Hollywood Blvd to accent nails. Let dry for 3-4 min. Tip: For a more saturated glitter nail, apply polish with a beauty wedge, found at your local drug store.

Step 3: Apply our Lauren B. Gel Like Top Coat to all nails. Make sure to paint nail you intend to put beads on last so it is still wet. Step 4: Measure and trim preferred length of bead before applying, then be sure to gently place beads, and lightly tap so they are sure to stick.
