Candy Cane Inspired Nails

If there is one thing that reminds me of the holidays more than anything else, it is the sweet sight of candy canes dancing through my mind. Did you know that candy cane’s originated in Cologne, Germany? They were created in order to calm children down during church services. The infamous “J” shape of the candy cane is said to be in this shape to remind children of the shepherds. Since then it has become a symbol for Christmas and the holiday season. Every year over 1.76 billion candy canes are made with 90% being sold during the month of December. In celebration of the holiday, and this delicious candy, I created a simple nail art that will get anyone in the spirit. I used Lauren B’s Nude No. 2, Rodeo Drive, and Hollywood Land to create a holiday French manicure that is as elegant as it is fun and fabulous! Happy Holidays!

Step 1: Apply Nail Perfecter (our Lauren B base coat) and let dry for 1-2 min. Step 2: Apply two coats of Lauren B’s Nude No. 2 and let dry for 3-4 min. Step 3: Then apply two strips of tape for clean lines on the tip of your nail.
